Soul Encounter, Mytho-Poetics, and Cultural Transformation

A Conversation with Rebecca Wildbear

“We must invent, or reinvent, a sustainable human culture by a descent into our pre-rational, our instinctive resources.” – Thomas Berry.

In conversation with Claire Dunn, Rebecca Wildbear will discuss the connection
between our particular genius and the most potent seeds for cultural renaissance.

Based on the work of Bill Plotkin and the Animas Valley Institute where she is a
guide and trainer, Rebecca will discuss how discovering one’s soul or mytho-poetics
can lead to visionary revolution, planetary evolution and cultural renaissance.

Soul is a person's unique identity revealed through symbol and metaphor, image and
dream, archetype and myth. David Whyte’s poetry suggests it’s "your own truth/at the center of the image/you were born with.”

When we encounter soul, we receive the revelation of our unique mythopoetic
identity expressed through symbol and metaphor, image and dream, archetype and
myth, and embodied in a mysterious story that whispers to us in moments of
expanded awareness and exquisite aliveness. The shape and rhythm of this story
reveals the hidden treasure that each of us carries for the world. The vital creativity
at our core can be discovered in an accidental or intentional descent into the
mysteries of soul.

We are in a potent moment in Earth’s evolutionary process. Our world needs the
transformative contributions of visionary leaders and artisans of cultural renaissance.
Nature-based personal development is the maturation of individuals and the human
species, thus leading to cultural transformation.

Those who have consciously discovered and committed to the one true life they can
call their own are having the largest conversation one is capable of having with the
world. The most creative, inspiring deeds in the world today are being performed by
visionaries who have made the descent and have returned with their unique
contribution to the Great Turning.

Intrigued? Come join us for some mythic adventures, poetic discussion, and an
exploration of the contemporary, Western, nature-based approach to soul initiation.

Where: Pulse Studios, 1 Pitt St, Brunswick
When: 7pm – 9pm. Conversation will start at 7.15pm. The conversation will continue
over tea afterwards.
