Weeds by definition are unwanted, but some of the main common culprits are edible, nutritious and delicious.

Take a walk, identify and learn about local edible weed with Claire Dunn, Rewilding Facilitator and Author of 'My Year Without Matches' and Taj Scicluna, the Perma Pixie. Weeds collected will be shared served as part of the The Great Local Lunch on Sunday 11 Feb.

The Sustainable Living Festival is the celebration that sustains the nation - the largest of its kind in Australia. The Festival seeks to inspire and empower everyday Australians to accelerate their uptake of sustainable living. Many of the Festival events have been developed by and are being held within local communities ranging from city and metropolitan locations to regional cities and rural towns. The Big Weekend is the flagship three-day event held at Federation Square, Melbourne, with The Green Market being a prominent part of this event.  The Green Market and showcases over 100 exhibitors offering sustainable home and lifestyle solutions, garden advice and gear, fair trade products, and local organic food. Visitors are encouraged to explore the Festival's rich and diverse program of forums and workshops, exhibitions, films and performance, markets and tours to make their world come alive!
