Nature supports our wellbeing but what about nature's wellbeing? Our panel share experiences and evidence on benefits of taking care of both

"Just being surrounded by bountiful nature, rejuvenates and inspires us." EO Wilson.
The body of evidence demonstrating the beneficial effects that exposure to the natural world has on health, reducing stress and promoting healing is growing. Now policymakers, urban planners, employers, reserve managers and healthcare providers are increasingly considering the human need for nature in our daily lives.
But what about nature's wellbeing? The state of the environment shows that this relationship currently takes more than it gives. Like any important relationship in life that sustains you, you have to ask long-term if this is really the pathway to health and happiness?
Perhaps we need to return to a connection that recognises we are both part of and stewards for nature, that our fates are entwined and the more we give the more we are likely to receive.
Join our diverse group of panellists as they share experience and evidence on the benefits of connecting through care taking and some of the exciting individual and collective initiatives South Australians can take part in to set this relationship on a healthier course.
The link to join online will be emailed to ticket holders closer to the event.
